hi all new to this but what is the cheapest way to control two off camera flashes as i am looking to get into macro, cheers used with nikon d750

Cheapest way is to use two cheap manual only flashguns such as Yongnuo, plus optical triggering from your camera's pop up flash if it has one, else triggered from a sync cable with a Y splitter from your camera's sync socket, if it has one.

Thanks guys think controlled would be best got one yongnuo flash at thé minute and that isnt wireless so probably starting from new cheers

If the Yongnuo is a model without an optical trigger then an optical trigger is cheap to add.

thanks chris what do you mean by optical trigger

If you want control, the cheap method is iTTL flash guns (YN568) and YN 622N TX on camera with YN622N for each flash (not what some would call cheap).

You can trigger from the built in flash in commander mode, but it's less reliable than a proper wireless system.

As per Phil's post above, I use a yn560 with yn603 triggers this does not give ttl it is all manual.
Have just bought the yn622s which give ttl with the yn568 or my sb800.
