How to access a Nexus 4 with smashed screen?

I dropped my Nexus 4 yesterday and smashed the screen, the screen is completely unresponsive, I can't input my pin to unlock it, it there anyway I can access the stuff on it? I have most of my stuff backed up with google (contacts, calender, keep etc) but I would just like to get photos etc off the phone, Can I peel glass off and use it that way?

Any suggestions?
 
Can't you boot it into recovery / fast boot and then remotely access it via the command line? You should be able to copy your stuff off it that way...If you haven't already you need to install the developer tools, best to google and read up on it...
 
OK, still having no luck, I downloaded SDK but that's about as far as I can manage? DO I need to install elcipse? how do I get the command line? I don't have a clue!!
