Firstly I have been absent from the form for quite a long time .I lost interest in the camera during the covid . There seemed to be so many other things to worry about, travel was restricted, alot of my friends including myself and partner contracted the virus .
Now however I feel better and must resume my contributions.
HoweverI must say that things have not improved it seems with water quality in the UK . In 1990 I my wife and I spent a year living in Hedge End in Hampshire. I well recall that there were not many if any Blue Flag beaches and the was was a move the start secondary treatment on the sewerage out flows . I visited the Eastney Sewerage Works . The chief enginer showed me around ,my main interest was the large Beam Pumping Engine that was run on steam on certain times . .The modern pumping was done by a number of National Engine running on Methane Gas . .The chief engineer made the point that raw sewerage was pumped out into Lackson Harbour and when the tide came in it all came back .............I wonder what it is like now ?. I count myself very lucky ,I live on the coast of the Southern Ocean , next stop is the Ice ?

It is a sorry state of affairs that appears not to have improved, in fact it would appear to have become worse in recent years, with rivers being polluted such that it is unsafe to will-swim in many places.
Still, glad you are back in the photography groove and we look forward to seeing your images etc.

Thank's Lindsay.Yes I look forward to posting again ,A country like the UK that has so much beautiful coast and you are apparently experiencing some extreme hot weather, to go for a swim would certainly be a relief.
