Is it really practical then, how many monopods and tripods would you need to support it effeciently........

How about this :D

Scaffolder's came today yep you guessed its winter and the roof needs doing

I think your missing the point a little, its a technological showcase as much as anything - I wouldn't be surprised to find that they have little to no profit margin on the lens. Its there to show the world what they can do and make sure people like us spend time discussing sigma on forums etc!

Well done Sigma, I'd have one :-D

WoW..... and how much does this bugatti cost?

I reckon with the right sort of Haggling, £10K.

I am getting a personal Demo in Calumet Edinburgh soon :D

 why not...

:sulk: its so beautifull and ill buy one in 20 years time when im 40 it might be cheaper by then

21MP... please stop im starting to feel ill, you cant keep stating these facts to me its nearly christmas and i dont want to get depressed because i know i cant have this camera :shake:

Well, I think it comes in 21, 31, 39 (the one I would go for), 50, and 60mp varieties.

The price increase across the range of pixels is MASSIVE. Also the lenses can be about £4K each. But can you imagine, a 28mm lens on medium format. Wow.

i would buy i safe just for the camera then one for the lens, i can imagine that you really get what you paid for. Dont they get their glass from one of the finest sands on the planet?

Insurance would be essential on such an item, but agree, a good home safe would be sensible. A neighbour was burgled last week, the same night our Mini was "entered". Opportunists. Luckily I had NOTHING of value in the Mini, so they just rummaged. Claire must have left door unlocked.

Anyhoo, I would ensure very good home security with kit like that.

yeah i had my car broken into last week. locks done, cd player gone (stupidly left it in), cds gone luckely they didnt take my tripod and my 300 pound speaker...

so you sound like your more than likely going to get one of these huh...

One day for sure. I mean its been a done deal for 6 months, I just don't know exactly when - but I will have it before summer 09. Whether I use it properly, remains to be seen. I will enjoy it though, thats the main thing.

i hope you do... its certainly a beautifull piece of kit.

Nice but at that price I might be tempted to get a film version and bang a digital back on it, gotta be cheaper.

Mate of mine had his car done a while back, they even had the common curtesy to lock it up afterwards
