How or why?

i think shes quite talented, regardless of the dreadful nature of that diet coke advert (what else did you expect for a coke ad?!)

however i think she has a widescreen face

I used to like her...but that voice just grinds on me now. And what a hugh jass!

I personally am not a fan but in answer to your question it is because she has a voice and style that is different which is what music producers look for.

But listening to her singing in that advert, that is more than just different. If she had appeared on X Factor singing like that she'd just be another that we'd be laughing at along with the other talentless individuals who think they can sing. I do admit that her voice suited her last two singles. But I can't see this advert doing her career many favours, it's dire.:gag:

My voice & style is very different but there are no producers knocking on my door

I agree, it is dire, and Simon Cowell would have likely stopped her in the middle of her audition on that performance but she already has made her name and it will probably do her no harm.

Another good example of a singer with a different voice and style while not exactly a good singer (in my opinion) is Amy Winehouse, but she sells records which is all the record label is looking for.

Well how about being our very own TP entrant on this years Xfactor we will all be rooting for you :lol::lol:

Amy Crackhouse is just as bad if not worse. Her version of Valerie (original was bad enough:( ) sounds like she's singing on a rollercoaster.
