Woman pensioner driving in Devon

:shake::cuckoo:

yeah, saw that
daft moo
she'll only scare herself

should have left all the snow in place

(and walked - of course - what did you think I meant?:rules:)

Call me cruel, but the Police gave her advice and an ice scraper? WTF? I'd have nicked her for dangerous driving. I don't care how old someone is, or why they were out and about, that was stupid and could have killed the driver, and taken many other innocents with her.

:shake: what can you say ????

How was she doing that, she knows the ways of the force?

I had a similar situation in the recent snows, I cleared off the windscreen and a good portion of the roof but it just wasn't practical do all the roof. Happily tootling alond for half an hour, braked for traffic lights, and bang, every last bit of snow on the roof was now on the windscreen and I couldn't see a damn thing. Had to jump out quick sharp and clear it off, nearly froze my hand off.

I will never understand people driving along the road without clearing all the snow from the car before setting off.:shrug::rules:

Also, look at all the vehicles in that picture without number plates

muppet - and also the car behind here too.

It really annoys me when people can't be bothered clearing the loose snow off the roof of their cars, it only takes a matter of seconds.

When it's 9 inches deep with the bottom 3 inches solid ice, no, it doesn't. I know, I tried.

sorry but that is more than a slap on the wrists offense, regardless of age, waht was she thinking and what were the police thinking, (are the wipers actually broken in that picture?)

I can't reach my roof.

Buy a ladder.:lol::D

I love leaving it on, on the motorway I look like one of the red arrows, the effect is better if you weave in and out of the traffic, i'm looking into putting red and blue dye in it ready for the next snowstorm.

You get told when it's going to snow so just put a blanket on the windscreen and take it off when you are about to go out. It does look good on the motorway though. ;)

When you do let us know time and location. Sure a couple of togs will get there for a "low fly" style shot, perched on the verge of the motorway.

Crackers!!!!!!:bonk:They need locking up & the key should be thrown away Job Done

That is frankly bonkers. There is no way she could see anything through that. Saw the image in the paper while I wa shaving dinner a day or so ago - my wife endured the ensuing rant form me :lol:

I think it should be a requirement that windscreen and side windows should be totally clear of snow (Not just the wiper tracks) before any car goes out on the road.

When it's 9 inches deep with the bottom 3 inches solid ice, no, it doesn't. I know, I tried.

But the loose snow could be cleared off surely? :shrug: I used a broom on mine.

Whats wrong with you all she can see through the 6" triangle just above her dash board.

So if she drove with her face pressed against the steering wheel she can see everything to be driving quite safley!!!!!

Ok I agree that is pathetic, He/she sould be banned from driving and made to resit their test as he/she obviously has no regaurd for other people OR his/her own saftey.

Well,women drivers.:gag::woot::withstupid::D

Why would you jump out of a skidding car like the 2 numpties did in the 1st video? Whilst the 2nd video he couldn't even get out of the car? Why oh why.

That would be why I cleared the snow off my car every day it fell, even if I wasn't going anywhere. One of my pet hates, lumps of snow flying off other vehicles at you!

all it takes to clear the car is to go out 5-10 minutes earlier than you would normally , clear the windows ( all of them ) and away you go , i nearly got hit by an idiot trying to drive using the 'force' to guide him , you should have heard the mouthfull i got when i had a word with him , somehow ( and i dont know how ) i was in the wrong for being in his way despite the fact he was on the wrong side of the road because he couldnt see where he was going , totally beyond my comprehension :bang: :bang: :bang:

Takes about 2 minutes to do the whole car with a soft broom. Stick the car heater on while you're brushing and then get in and drive off - there really is no excuse.
