How much should I ask for

I have just had the following email from the local paper. I don't know what to ask, this is the first time they have contacted me and I don't want to frighten them off by asking for too much as they may want stuff in the future.

I did send them the images in the first place so I'm not too worried about getting anything this time rally, but how do I say this to them.

just checking. Is there any charge for us to use your pictures of the

I would say £20, and reply to them straight away as it was last week or so so its not that news, for that price they may go for it if its dearer they may not as it was the other week

Yup that's about it 25 - 40 quid depending on the paper - you're lucky they're even offering to pay you, most don't - they only pay staff togs.

I did not want to be to expensive nor to look to cheap, hopefully this may be a foot in the door.

The money is not the big issue for me, but the contacts it could bring and maybe a little help trying to get passes for larger events.
