As you may know we went to Wicken Fen yestrday, a bit of a camera outing. We decided to let Maisie, Marianne's youngest daughter use our D70. Well, the shots she has are quite amazing for a 12 year (+ 2 weeks) old.... but I spotted this. Thought I really MUST share it.....

Sounds like it might be the start of an expensive hobby.
 
Some of Maisie's work.... only the last one needed a bit of work in Photoshop (only a bit though). No cropping, all straight from the camera!

She certainly has an eye for it, some nice stuff there :).

Some great shots there. Seems like she's a natural :D
 
when I looked through Maisie's photos yesterday I was so moved, the compositions were so good. Now she is back on the PC, chatting to her friends and has forgotten about photography again. We have to wait for her to come to us to ask to use a camera, for days we tried to get her to use one and she sulkily refused but yesterday was different, she wanted to use one. Can you imagine it, 12 years old and using a D70? It was great seeing her get her shots, lying on her tummy like a pro! :)
 
The first time I looked I thought Barry had a Talk Photography sun visor and a very short fringe!! :D:lol:

what you really meant to say was, shes a pain in the *** and keeps nicking camera :lol::lol::lol:

daughter 11 was always taking Fujifilm S5600 off me, thought i'd solved problem when i got canon 400d now she just borrrows mine for a few minutes grrrr :) like most 11 year olds shes really good at taking photos of herself with camera by time shes 15, she be exactly like her sister 'get that camera away from me' kids you just gotta luv em:lol:

Maisie does this already...the day at Wicken Fen was a rarety. She really has to be in the mood for me to point a camera at her too. So annoying!
