How much film are you shooting annually?

No
I acquired my first medium format camera almost exactly one year ago and I've managed to shoot 166 rolls of 120 over these past 12 months.

That's around 2000 individual frames or so for the year, although I'm not quite sure of the exact number as I shot a mixture of 6x6 and 6x4.5 (I shot almost no 135 or digital during this period).

I'm just wondering how much everyone else is shooting annually? Or, if you haven't been shooting film for long, per month?

I shoot very little 35mm at the moment but I reckon about 2 rolls of 120 a month on avareage.

I have determined to Keep better records in 2014. In 2013 my consumption was about 100 rolls with about a quarter of that being 120 split evenly between 6x6 and 645.

Last year I shot about 38 rolls of film, which roughly break down as:-

SLR's 8 rolls 3 b&w 5 colour
M/F 17 rolls 9 b&w 8 colour
Odd cameras (p&s, disposables etc) 7 rolls 0 b&w 7 colour
Rangefinders 6 rolls 4 b&w 2 colour

Plus there's some large format, Polaroid and a few other quirky bits and bobs to add to that lot.

So far this year I've processed 10 rolls.

If only I could see an improvement I'd be happy :D

I've been shooting film for about five months, and only started developing in January this year, so, since January I have developed 20 rolls of film, mainly black and white, but have now added C41 and E6 to that list (so I don't really have any excuse for not shooting)....
I shoot both 35mm and 120.

I reckon you can probably safely say you've shot more than anyone else, RJ! :p

I have no idea how many I've shot offhand, not as many as some as I alternate between film and digital depending on what I'm doing. Even if I wanted to shoot 166 rolls in a year I couldn't as I don't have a spare 15 grand sitting around to fund it!

I shot 55 rolls of 35mm on various Pentaxes (mainly fuelled by the 52 and POTY13), plus 2 on the Olympus mju II, and 7 rolls of 120 mostly on the borrowed Mamiya 645, but a couple on the Autocord. There were also a couple of disposables. There were also about 30 folders of shots from my X10, with usually 30-odd shots per folder; again, the 52 had a lot to do with that.

It's strange, I feel as if I've hardly touched digital, but the evidence is against me! Perhaps it IS worth investing in one of the higher X-series... oh dear, what am I saying?:coat:

I shoot what the bank balance will allow, split between 120 and 35mm. My 35mm is bulk reels and recently aquired 2 very nice SLR Nikons so more 35mm this month than before. Since changing to film I 've taken no digital images. Hopefully for 2014 more money more film and chemicals to develop them

What film are you shooting that costs £90 a roll, Paul?;)

Average about a roll of 120 film a week and a roll of 35mm a month. So that's about 1000 a year, but a lot of these are for my evening class; would be a lot less otherwise.

Last year judging from what I have left against what I brought I shot about 90 sheets of 10x8 Provia and about 10 sheets of 10x8 FP4. Probably about 10 120 and I doubt if more than 2 35mm.

..this weekend so far I have shot about 15 sheets of Provia 10x8 and developed 22 sheets.

About 30 rolls of 35mm/year of colour neg.....usually 36exp.

Hi, Very little 35mm these days.
Between 5-10 rolls of 120 per week average.
Between 100-200 sheets of 5x4 per week average.

All dependent on my work load.

Ha, fortunately it doesn't cost me anywhere near £15,000!

I should probably put my 166 rolls in context: 25% were shot in the month of October alone (wedding and honeymoon). I also shot quite a lot of rolls late last summer simply practising for that month of October.

I think a more regular month sees me shoot about 6-8 rolls, mostly weekend jaunts around Scotland, but that number rises significantly for any events/holidays. Because I've ditched all of my digital and 35mm gear, I shoot 120 for basically everything: parties, sports, etc. I just love looking through the waist level finders of my SQ-A and Autocord.

The costs do add up, but I've managed to buy my gear at reasonable prices, I've sold the excess equipment I wasn't using, and I currently can't drink, so the money that might have been spent on alcohol on the weekends now goes toward film and processing costs. It's amazing how much extra money you have when you're not buying pints.

5–10 rolls of 120 per week and then 100–200 sheets of 5x4? Wow, that's awesome.

I mostly use film for classic car shows, so that's maybe 5/6 rolls.. couple that with when I feel like a wonder about with a film camera instead... i'd say roughly 9ish rolls a year. Not enough!

Not a lot - probably about 5/6 rolls last year. Mix of Portra 100 & 400 and Ektar.
Planning to do (much) more in 2014!

Probably about 40 sheets of 5x4 FP4 and possibly 20-25 rolls of 120 in PanF, FP4 and NPS160. 35mm - nil (1 36 exp cassette 3 or 4 years ago; I can't recall the one before that).

I haven't taken a frame since October, so somewhere between sod all and very little :(

We'll put that right on Saturday lad.

I only shoot about 2 rolls of 35mm per month, but I do tend to alternate between the DSLR (yes I know, work of the devil), and the two 35mm cameras.
