Shaving? Waste of blood, time and money.

I'm a DE man myself and even though I use some of the higher end products its still pretty cheap.

whats a DE man?

I cleared out ASDA when they had some kind of fusion with 2 blades for £1 a pop.... I now know why they were £1 a pop.... They are poo. Each blade lasts one shave before as blunt as.....

i used to be a mach 3 man - but last xmas swimbo bought me a wet and dry phillishave - now.....................................................................................................................

.......................................................................... i have a beard because i can never remember to keep the damn thing charged up  :bonk:

Half tempted to get a straight razor and a strop, costs about the same as 2 packs of wilkinson sword blades :gag:

Funnily enough I've been looking at trying the age old Cut throat and strop. I looked at the price of a good blade they where around £35 for a decent looking one, but what surprised me was the price of a good badger shaving brush like my old fella had. The cheapest was about £40. Wish I'd got me old fellas when he snuffed it, I could have washed it out well and used his.

What I did like was the choice of gadgets, soaps etc it was as vast as a good camera shop.

if you go and find a roadkill badger - i could turn you a wooden handle

LOL thats realy bad but I do see a lot of deceased ones with the ammount I drive.

What do you reckon would be the best area to get the hair from LOL

according to wikipedia from the belly - also apparently many badger hair brushes these days are made from hair from china where they have a different species of badger

Incidentally in case anyone thinks we are serious i'd note that badgers are protected and possession of a dead one or derivatives can get you into a shedload of lumber

Like David, Double Edge razor with Wilkonsn blades ...cost approx the equivalent of £2 for a pack of 10 blades, each of which I get an average of 4 shaves.....I don't consider that too expensive tbh. I do have a philishave but quite honestly I don't find electric razors get close enough.

Guilty as charged...about £13.00 a firkin' packed of blades....:cuckoo:

Best part....0;30, "I'm good at tennis!".

Thanks for posting...

hmm i may have to have a look into these DE contraptions....

however, I think i'd slice my face off in about 3 seconds...... have always fancied a cut throat shave but haven't had the guts to do it yet..... / find a reputable enough barber....

DE does not have to be expensive to get a good shave..

I was recommended the Weishi when I started, and still use it today.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mens-Weishi...ILZ2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1331365657&sr=8-4

I use others aswell but when I want a no hassle shave the Weishi is the best, I have never cut myself with that, not even when starting out, it isnt the closest but you don't notice that unless you rub your hand down your face.

now for a close shave I use a Parker 99c, put a Gillette 7 oclock blade in and you are getting close but mis calculate the weight or go over the same place twice and its gonna be sore.

you will at one point see a product Bluebeards Revenge shave cream and you will think £14.99 a tub, yeah right  but its awesome and lasts for months, it really is good..

anyways that Weishi kit from amazon is a decent starter and not much money to lose if DE shaving is not for you.

apart from that I get all my stuff from http://www.shaving-shack.com/
