Hi how many times have you been out this year with your camera i have just added up the amount of times i been out and its a grand totall of 6 yes 6 :shake: with work and family duties, and all the excuses like maybe next week its 6 i would like to know about other tp members

not a lot either...i lost interest for a while
but i did take it on holiday...for a week to wales and then some days out when it was sunny
usually its always in my pocket ready for action
must change all that when i get re-excited by a new cam purchase...soon...

Nearly every weekend as my wife works Sundays and the children come along with me and sometimes the dog too!

Too many to count, got to meet with a bunch of locals off here a year or so ago and we seem to get out every couple of weeks, sometimes more often than that.

Around fifeteen times myself.

I do go out with a camera every single day... :suspect: ...and up until recently it very rarely, if ever got used... :D ...but I recently downloaded The Best Camera app for my iPhone and now I do take pictures every day... ;) ...sometimes with my iPhone and more often now on other occasions with my D-Lux 4...

I have even had the D200 out of its dust cover a couple times of late AND even taken a photograph (?) or two with it... :naughty: ...YAY it still works...

Still not totally re-Mojo'd but I reckon it is stirring from its long slumber...

:p

Sometimes you need a new challenge.
Work and family stuffs do get in the way all the time, but I think if you're passionate and enthused enough, you make time.
I mean, for a lot of peeps going out for the whole day just to shoot is a non runner, so you gotta squeeze it in, in and amongst the day to day..:)

Glad to see that the tp members are getting around maybe i should try a compact but i just dont think it would be the same . I travel all over the uk in my job but just dont fancy putting my camera in the van with my tools i have often thought of a small leica and sell my dslr  When i take photos i want them to be a winning shot and qaulity all the time so thats why when i think compact well

I'm one of that "bunch" and would recommend you find a "bunch" to go out with as well..........it is very motivating and my photography has come on in leaps and bounds (in my eyes at least):)

Work does interfere though.......sometimes I go a week without picking up the camera and then get out 4 or 5 days in a row.

really? I am in waterlooville mate, where do you meet up?

I'm in Havant, Alby is in Cosham, and there are others in Havant, Southampton etc.

We mainly do things fairly ad hoc and frequently atshort notice..........we just PM round and see who is available on the day. Sometimes just a couple of us may get out and at other times 4 or 5.

I've taken the liberty of adding you to my contacts list (and maybe the others will do the same) and will give you a shout next time we do something. I won't be out for a while though........working until Friday then off to the West Country to visit family.

Bigger stuff we put on the Meetings forum, so keep your eyes open.

I go out every day unless its raining, and then I find something interesting at home or at work in my sons car sales garage, or go somewhere that.s inside to shoot,

I went out without my camera once this year and yes you guessed it, missed an awesome opportunity.

Won't happen again though :nono:

I shoot something nearly everyday, just love the feel of the camera in my hands

Went out by myself without my camera for the first time this year today.

I missed a vintage bus rally and attendant candids.

It's not a mistake I'll be making again.

Apart from a handful of trips to Knockhill err.....err.....none :shake:

And to think I used to find myself with 1000+ shots a week to process. I need a challenge methinks.

Since I got my 50D back in April I reckon I've been out on average 5 times a week at least. I always take it out when I take the dogs on a longer walk. I also put it in the van if I'm working any distance from home. Back in July I had a week off and went out every day from Saturday through to the following Sunday.

Every day with only Sundays off. Roll on Xmas 2 months off being a bum......

Got the other half a really good camera as she moans I never take one on holiday or on trips and occasions.

Really hacks me off when tourists ask if I could take a photo.... I cut their heads off like Auntie Doris was taking the pic!

I don't really, I'd like too..... sometimes!

yes inside the garage..just the place

sometimes i just need to click something to do some practice on

Me and DM go out every Sunday and I go out with the dog and camera 1 day during the week(my day off)

Two snowboarding holidays.

Four Nürburgring trips + Frankfurt motorshow.

Various Goodwood events.

A few other bits and bobs but snowboarding/motorsport are my main interests.

That pees me off as well as when I see a couple taking pics of each other I often ask if they would like me to take a shot of them, and they get a great photo with everything considered eg bg no poles coming out of their heads and nice scenery in the bg, and I ask them would they take a pic of Julie and I and theirs is a carp shot that they take :bang: or you take a pic of them and they dont even offer to take one of us :bang: as so often it looks like you been on separate holidays

Hmmm about 25 or so, but usually only for about an hour or two.
But then I cant always get out and about. I have ME, which at times results in days where Im pretty much housebound. I would dearly love to take more landscape images, but you have to work with what youve got. So I concentrate on macro photography a fair bit. There are endless things you can photograph in your house or garden, Ive got a long list of macro and abstract projects I want to attempt on days where Im stuck in.

If you cant get out for whatever reason, then dont look at it negatively, look at what you CAN do, you can dabble in all sorts of photography opportunities, working with light, try portraits with your family or friends, or even self, try abstract stuff, still life things, capture nature in your garden, photograph people on the way to or from work, take your camera in the car or on the bus, you never know when a fun or unusual opportunity may crop up. If you need inspiration then take a browse on Flickr or deviant art, or maybe in a magazine for new technique, enter competitions and challenges to push yourself in new directions.

doing a photo-365, so even if I haven't been out with the camera, i've done something that's resulted in an image every day so far (276 and in desperate need of something for today )

I have no idea as I don't count  Sometimes I go out every day of the week other times I will miss a week, it depends on how I feel at the time.

Haven't used my 5d much this year, when I went on holiday though I bought a compact to use which I was a bit dissapointed with the image quality when I returned

8 times so far this year looking at the folders on my hard drive :( Could do better...

Mine comes everywhere with me, I travel up and down the country for work and never know where I'll be. Most of the time I've no real spare time and certainly never put a day aside for a trip to take pictures. Most of my stuff is 'spur of the monent' and very constrained by time.

Nice attitude towards photography

I go out a at least 4 times a week, each time about 3-4 hours, should try harder to get out more.;) :D
