Here is my current list :D

Canon:

17-40 L - starting to user a little more
50 F1.8 - barely used (apart from test shots when new)
24-105 L - My day to day lens
100 Macro F2.8 - New, not had much chance to use yet
70-200 2.8 L IS - New, not had much chance to use yet
100-400 L - Most used

Lenses I have owned and sold:

18-55 kit lens
sigma 70-300 dg (non apo)

Would like to own:

300 F2.8 L
500/600 F4 IS L
1.4 and 2x convertors

Well, my taste runs mostly to classic Nikkors of bygone years, plus a couple of modern ones.

AF-S 17-55/2.8 DX
AF-D 35/2
AF-D 85/1.4
AF-S 105/2.8 VR, N, XYZ, ABC, RSVP Micro-Nikkor
AF-N 135/2 DC
AF-N 180/2.8

I mostly use the older teles, particularly the 85 and 135.

16-35/f2.8L mkII
24-70/f2.8L
50/f1.4
85/f1.8
135/f2L
200/2.8L mkII

Least favourite would be the 24-70. OK on my 1D mkII but somehow not used on the 1DS mkII.

Would love a 35/f1.4L for indoor stuff.

Surprise lens is the 50/1.4 on 1DS mkII.. Surprised me anyway.

Favourite is a toss-up between 135 & 85 on 1DS..

Both consummate people lenses. Yes thats it then. 85 on the 1D and 135 on the 1DS for people stuffand the others for the country..

Here's my glass collection, 6 inc a converter

17-40 f4 'L'
70-200 f4 'L'
300mm f4 'L'
50mm f1.8 mk2
100mm f2.8 macro
1.4x converter

Real world wants -

Would love a 8mm Peleng wide angle and something like a 24-105 zoom, the 17-40 is a little short for a walkabout lens on the 1.3 crop body.

Dream wants

300mm f2.8 and a 2x converter, and maybe the 200mm f1.8 (see your's isn't listed Tim, have you sold it ?)

Cheers

Alan

Hard cash buys anything at my house Alan as you already know..:D

I own a left and a right lens, though because they are cheap rubbish and lack infinity focus I have a special twin lens convertor to use with them.

Michael.
