What Jenny said.. Plus optimise every page individually, and even if they are for the same broad topic, you do need to understand how people search, and adjust pages accordingly. Think "how would someone else search for my site"

example

to find a karren millen shop that sells handbags

Initial search "karen millen handbags" - returns numerous results
Refined search#1: "karen millen handbag nottingham" - retuns the karen millen store in nottingham that doesnt sell bags

Refined search #2: Karen millen handbag shop nottinghamshire" returns some retail park website, that has a karen millen store in it

Refined search #3 "karen millen handbag" +shop -outlet +nottingam finds the page we want
 
Worth remembering what we mean when we say "content is King".. Goggle doesnt read picures, flash, video files, fandabodozie site design or looks - on the whole it loves TEXT - lots of it, and relevent text too. It likes structure, organised pages, links form relevant text on other sites etc.. Pretty much the opisite of most photographers websites

It also likes permanence - content that remains unchanged, but in the same breadth it also likes sites that slowly grow, adding content over a period of time
