How many bodies is too many ?

Which model? 7 or 9 yes :D

I have way too many Minolta film bodies, my excuse is it was cheaper to get the lens I wanted buying it with the body.
It's a Dynax 40 I think. I sold all my a-mount lenses when I moved away from Sony DSLRs.

+1 for the S-1 rule :)

I'm at 4 dslrs, one is infrared and one i use on remote control when needed, carrying two on me. In addition one medium format digital which is fun to use for studio, and a compact digital when dslr are not allowed.

Tend to have a favourite which ticks most of the boxes.

Thus unless one is suited more for a particular aspect, just use the favourite and thus learn it capabilities without confusing any issues

I have 4, but two are film, rarely used now........

Well but who says divorse is a bad thing? After all the alternative is giving up getting THE best camera ever :D

No DSLR's for me:
- Monochrom rangefinder
- 35mm film rangefinder
- Colour rangefinder
- 28mm digital touchscreen does everything walkabout and for taking photos of things that move, given all others are manual focus
- 120mm film
