How long does canon Cashback take?

I bought a 600D in the latest Cashback period and put in my claim straight away - just wondering how long it normally takes for confirmation and how long I should leave it before I should chase it up...
 
it took at least a couple of months for mine to turn up on the doorstep
 
Do they let you know if they have rejected the claim? I submitted a claim just before the offer closed on a camera/lens purchased from Kerso and haven't heard anything after 3 months. Was always a bit of a bonus, but would be nice to know either way.
 
Did you get a confirmation email? If you did, how long after posting the claim?
 
We bought a 600D on 25th May I think and did the cash back claim early June. Just got a confirmation of our claim a couple of days ago, so they notified us within 2-3 weeks. Email said it'd take 21 days for the cheque to reach us.

You had to buy from one of their official retailers though. It did say in their T&Cs. I doubt you'll get your cash back if you purchased from Kerso. Unless he is an official retailer?

EDIT: Just to add we bought ours online and did the online claim rather than the postal. Not sure if this may affect how long you have to wait to hear.

I bought a 70-200 from Ian and successfully claimed cashback. Next time I'm on my PC I'll let you know all the dates but I think it took them 3 or 4 weeks to confirm they'd got it then another 2 for the cheque to arrive

Adrian I think you're talking about the previous cashback offer but goldeneye is talking about the latest one. Here is my experience from the latest (Euro 2012) Canon cashback

Lens bought 23/04/12
Online claim made 28/04/12
First email (Sender Canon Cashback Subject: Claim submission - Unique Reference Number) 29/04/12
Second Email (Sender Admin Cashback Help Subject: Acknowledgement of Canon Claim) 14/05/12
Cheque arrived 28/05/12

That sounds about the same as my claim. About 10 days to process and get an acknowledgement and then 3 weeks before my cheque turned up...... just got to spend that £175 on something else shiny now!
 
I had a query with mine, they couldn't open the file I sent them as proof of purchase. I re-sent it and it took them 6 days to acknowledge they had received it, so not holding my breath I'll be getting it any time soon.

I emailed them last week and they hadn't received the claim! Now resubmitted via email so hopefully will still be processed.
 
I also bought a lens from Kerso.
Emailed my submission on 3/06
Received acknowledgement of claim being processed on 13/06
Cheque received 29/06.

Really pleased as it made an already good price from Ian even better.

Claim form posted 6th June, received an email to confirm process 3rd July, was told to expect cheque within 28 days.
 
Claimed for a 100L Macro purchased from Kerso. Took about a month for the cheque to arrive.
 
Claimed on my 600D, took about a month and few days from filling the online form to receive the cheque by mail. Did receive an email at the 2 weeks mark roughly, stating the processing of the cashback.
