How Long do i wait

I'm sorry but somebody who wishes their step brother gets cancer purely because they are happy doesn't deserve the time of day!

Yeah, Look i've said that in the past. He has everything I want and I have nothing. I punish myself because I feel like I'm worthless thats why I did the thing with my camera.

If Sam is on the autistic spectrum as it would appear, then they have a developmental disability, it will affect how he communicates with and relates to other people, and how he experiences the world around him.

It is good that people are willing to help... aggression is probably one way that he copes and yes it would seem that he needs a little help there.

Sam... Keep your cool, listen to those trying to help, take your time and I am sure one way or another things will get resolved.

I have dyspraxcia but i'm trying to get the help I need. There are people in a much worse situation then me, Its just my self confidence that i have trouble with, I have no self esteem. Thats why I did what I did to my camera, I felt worthless, Like I don't deserve nice things. But I know I do. I have a great future ahead of me. I am very grateful to the nice people on this fourm supporting me

Anyway, a warm welcome to the friendliest forum around. :)

I hope you do settle into the forum and enjoy it.

Hi Sam, and welcome to the forum. I use to really punish myself too, it is hard but if you can take small steps and be polite on here then most members will try and help you, and I will too.

Thank you. I'm glad you understand what its like. The problem is we all do different things to punish ourselves. My mum says she used to punish herself by eating more. I did it with my camera and my DVD's. It doesn't help me, it hurts me. Thing is I can take some nice pics, I might not be a great professional but i do enjoy taking pictures. I just need to find a way to control myself which is what i'm trying to do now. This forum seems really nice

Hi Sam. Helo us to help you. What Canon camera was it? Are you UK based? What make is the other camera with the black bit on it?

We need to have more details.

Don’t you have a phone with a camera you can use instead of spending money on compact cameras?

Hi Sam, yes I do understand you 100%. It can be hard sometimes but if you can talk and be polite then we will all try our best. So what sort of photos do you like to take ?

It seems to me a few people missed my post, here it is again.
Just so everyone is aware, we are also fully aware of the circumstances, Daddy's watching
Play nice folks :)

This threade is not exactly showing that TP is the friendliest forum is it?
Sam,
I have no idea what you are going through, but it seems a few others do.

Please try and contain your anger on here, for the same reason.
Thanks

Do you have any more photos you have taken ?

oh gosh yeah i have loads. dont know where to start to be honest. I've was thinking about maybe going to a photo group club in my area and learn how to take even better pictures. It gets me out of the house, and also meeting new people which is what I need.

Or another one was a book and beer club.

I`d say the camera club sounds better, plus it is always nice to talk and get help using a camera.

Most people on here use Flickr to host their images. It makes it easier to show them, once you find out how to post them! :)

@samthefootball

Here you go Sam - I've posted your first couple of photos below for you.
If you go to "embed codes" on your link and copy and paste the BBCode into your post, the images should show up like this, so that you can put them in to your own posts.

STAFF NOTE

To reiterate what @Cobra has already said, site staff are fully aware of this thread and the circumstances.
Let's see if we can use it to bring out the best in TP rather than the worst.

All three pictures you have linked to show that you think about the look and composition of what you photograph.

Finding a good photography club can be something to explore but like here you need to find within the membership those able & willing to ''work with you" and not get distracted and/or angry with those who lack the empathy to understand or at least appreciate that your situation might get in the way of you showing what you can and will become.

Make sure at the camera Club you take the opportunity early on to talk to the club secretary & other committee members to ask for their support in your aim to be a better photographer despite your personal problems.

Talking of your pictures, do you have any that show the black mark......looking at those so far on my phone I cannot see the mark.

All the best

That's a dust bunny. Quite common.
It can be removed with basic photo editors, Gimp for instance, which is free.

If you mean the irregular blob above the trees, that does look like dust on the sensor.....................does it always appear in the same location or move around between uses of the camera??? It is possible it is dust within the lens? In neither case with that camera the user cannot do anything to physically remove it...........it would require a camera technician to dismantle it and clean it ~ that will cost money :(

As Ken, advises above. As you have a computer download and learn the absorbing craft of post processing that will include how to handle 'removing' dust bunnies in the virtual world. Though I do nt use Gimp (the free photo editor) there are many that do who can advise and help your learning curve :)

Oh, ok. I've never heard of a dust bunny before I have to say. Yeah it aways appears in the same location. It is probably dust within the lens like you say

If always in the same location, I suspect it would be on the sensor. Any such dust in the lens would be very close to the sensor to show up..................but of course hard to be 100% sure unless looked at by the skilled technician.

Did you say yet whereabouts in the UK you are? Knowing that might mean folk can point you to camera clubs, good camera shops where tech help could be available etc.

As this older camera is your only one that now works, even with the dust :( , do look into learning about & how use Gimp plus if with TP member advice we can point you to someone/shop to quote for the dust removal then that will give you a £'s figure to save for to get it sorted >>> reducing the need to always remove the dust bunny by software.

I agree that it is dust and can be removed in an editing programme.

As you have allowed "yes" to edit images.

Though done rough & ready in Photoshop and far from a perfect removal (evidence of my efforts pretty obvious & incomplete) here is my quick edit to show that the dust can be removed ;)

I have also reduced the fie size to make forum friendly for uploading onto the forum.

Hope that shows what should be possible for you

Also, whatever digital cameras we all have there will always be situations where sensor dust intrudes. If not removed physically it will need cloning out by software ~ this is a fact of life with our lovely modern cameras :)

That is one thing you will learn here Sam, all the different names and sayings in photography.
