how long before PayPal dispute?

I'm interested to know.....

If you had won and paid for something 48 hours ago and had no reply from 2 messages to the seller, how long would you wait before opening a PayPal dispute to get the money back?

I believe when I had to raise a dispute, you can't raise it until the shipping period had passed. eg, if the Delivery estimate was 27th September, then you'd have to wait until 27 September before it would allow the raising of a dispute. BUT, this was some time ago, and like all things on ebay, it's probably changed by now.

I was just wondering, I think I panic too much lol.

I did what admirable suggested (thanks for the advice btw) Gave the guy a ring and he's posting it tomorrow
