I still have my old Gnome projector for my old 35mm slides and the grand kids love it when we have a slideshow. It must be 50years old now lol

Mounts for E6 film are very hard to come by now. Last time I had a slide film with slides returned in mounts was before the demise of Peak Imaging. I hear the biggest producers have stopped making them and I would guess that mounts for 6x6 or 645 would be even harder to find... so even if you exposed a new roll of slide film being able to project in the old fashioned way will be rather difficult.
