how i do this... (now sorted)

I have 2 images one in the day and one at night and i would like to merge them both together to get an image a bit like this one

can anyone tell me how i do it please as im struggling to find out and google isnt coming up with anything helpful at the moment.

hi yeah im using cs3 but just managed to do it after some help off a friend on another site

Mask and gradient tool?

I ended up using the gradient tool on a layer mask the images is in the week 10 anything goes competition if you wanted a look.
