I think the two I got wrong were

Hung (I was unsure of the different between hung and hanged....I know now...after reading the answer key),

and She complained to whomever would listen. I thought it was either whoever, or both.

'They' (particularly the BBC) keep telling us that language must evolve and that many of us old folk should adapt and modernise ! Husband and I 'collect' mis-pronunciations from the radio and have almost as many of them as photographs !

Both should be an acceptable answer there. The insistence on 'whomever' ie confined to grammar books and is about as dated as spelling 'lens' 'lens'.

Of course I knew they would only accept 'whomever' so I answererd incorrectly to get the points. :lol:
