Yes
the stuff you aint got in your camera bag all the time.

I have filters, filter cases, spare straps, flash unit, lenses etc etc all just lying about - I could do with a box/case to put it all in, but in some kind of order so I can find it when needed:).

Ive looked at ally 'flight cases' but there's no need for all that jazz and protection as it's always in the house - just needs to be tidier!

any thoughts?

I have a very hi-tech device called a 'shelf', that has everything on that isn't in my kit bag :D . I'd love a nice set of flight cases to keep it all in, but I'm putting all cash available into building up a lens collection, so they'll have to wait a bit!

the problem with my shelf is that all my gear collects dust badly, i'm thinking a trophy cabinet on said shelf may be better!

I've just bought a sideboard which has cupboard space and a big draw.
It is for photo gear including bags and other associated stuff. All mine :)

most of my kit stays in my bag, if its out its always somewhere in my room! bags witn lots of pockets are great :)

i have so little that i can keep it all in a Lowepro Stealth Reporter AW D100 :P

apart from my tripod, of course.

Maplins are doing half price flight cases at the moment  £14.99 including foam insert excellent value imho ;)

I have just upsized from stealth reporter 300 to 550 - this gets all my stuff in ie 2 bodies + lenses, extra lens , flash, spare batteries and filters etc.
This holds all my stuff at home and I use it for weddings. For day to day shooting when I just take I camera I use a Tamrac holster. This set up suits me at the moment.

charity shops often have old camera bags for a couple of quid ... I have 4 or 5 (ok maybe 7 or 8 ) with various 'spare' bodies and lenses in. Keep them in the bedroom ... cupbaords and wardrobe. Wifey has clothes on her side for some reason

I keep all my stuff in a Peli case under the bed. It holds my 7D, 70-200mm, 17-55mm 30mm F/1.4, 11-16mm, 430 EXII flash, flters and hoods. I feel safe in the lnowledge that should there be a nuclear war, my camera gear will survive.

Camera bags for alternative sets of gear to grab. Plastic under-bed storage boxes (£4) for stuff that only needs to be kept somewhat tidy and dust-free and lenses with cases that don't see much action. The boxes can also be grabbed if needed, and fit in a large wheeled hold-all (£15 reduced price at a supermarket; £25 at a street market).

Cheap 'n cheerful - a couple of drawers lined with bubblewrap does it for me.
Mike

just in another bag, fill the one I'm going to be using from that.
