I have just brought myself a NG-E4 battery grip for my 40D

but it doesnt have any instructions, how do i fit it? i take it i need to some how remove the battery cover on the camera, but how do i do this without breaking it?

thanks

(p.s. i looked on google and searched here but couldnt find anything)

Open the battery cover to approx 45 degrees and pull it away gently.

What brand is the NG-E4? The official canon on is the BG-E2 or BG-E2N (extra weather sealing)

Canons BG-E4 is for the 5D.

To remove battery cover, hold open at 45 degrees and gently pull, then slot it in the side of the battery grip.

5D grip works with the 40D?

If it does, why would you. They're dearer than a 40d grip aren't they? :suspect:

lol kerfuffle ... glad you spotted that, i was going to say the 5D and 40D take different batteries :bonk:
