Yes
Have just added to my lighting modifiers collection.

I now have softbox, umbrella box, umbrella and 2 reflectors.

How do you all lug this kind of stuff around, do you have a separate back just for your lighting modifiers?

I need a way of keeping them tidy, both at home and when out to shoot, so what are people doing with all this stuff?

It's funny you mention this because I've just created a motorised trolley for my gear from an old golf bag and powerkaddy. I may look a tit, but I'll be the one laughing when I don't have to carry my bag which weighs as much as my wife when fully laden with gear and weights to secure stands. :D

I just got mine today, the lightbox and flash guns etc go in one bag just a bit smaller than the laptop bag ( netbook size) and there are 2 lightstand bags which have room for the umbrella also. I think I will just bung the lot in a wheely sports bag for location.

ive got a laaaarge holdall with wheels that all my strobes, softboxes, umbrellas and backup material backdops go in, my lightstands go in my backdrop support carryall and my camerabag over my shoulder.

I am debating wheather to get a fishing trolly to put it all on though....

and if the client gets funny,. you could always bring out the 9 iron:D

For location/street use you can't beat a hockey bag. About £10 from a sports shop it will take lightstands, umbrellas, etc. It will certainly hold more than you'll be comfortable carrying.

Yeah been thinking something like that. Someone said a bag from one of those fold up chairs is a good cheap way as well, as long as it is long enough. So will be doing some measuring, Hockey bag is a good idea though. I am just looking for ideas and things like the Hockey bag never would have thought of. Cheers Alastair. Keep the ideas coming though everyone.

Another vote for the hockey bag from me.

Swallows two stands and umbrellas no problem, and has plenty of pockets for things like my box of gels, spare batteries, etc.

I use a peli 1650 holding 3 heads, cables and extension leads, and a 24" square softbox, 40cm beauty dish + grid, 2 barn door sets and two reflectors and a snoot, and a load of gels and grids and a popup reflector. It's heavy but bombproof and has wheels.

Umbrellas live in a stand bag, elemental's one is pretty good, I have 3.

For speedlight stuff, a flat sheet of black foam with velcro on the ends lives in the 'AW' cover section of my camera bag (lowepro magnum aw), stofens live on the flashes when in the bag, gels in a front pocket.
