How do they get this look

I'm really struggling to get a certain look to an image, an example of the look is http://www.iamduffy.com/#/gallery pretty much anything on the top line in the image gallery.

Any ideas chaps?

google up 'Honey Actions' for photoshop, plnety of them, and see which one you prefer.
