just saw on the news the solar plane had landed in Hawaii after a 5 day flight ,wonderfull ,then the thought came to me five days in the air in a single seat plane ,where and how the hell does the pilot have a number two or even a wee wee during that time :ty:

I do worry about you sometimes Jeff I really do :D

But maybe the seat has a hole cut in it, and that goes straight through, dare I say the bottom? :D

A small bucket.
Adult nappies.
An alien presence.
A pointless jorney? :-)

Or a poor Japanese fisherman going home covered in poo trying to tell his mates that Godzilla dropped a killer ,or even that God does poos ,or oh Mrs kimono a alien just done whoopsies the mind boggles ,o.k I can go along with the hole in the seat maybe ? ,but how then does he get up to wipe his bum .:woot:

Fly upside down through a storm then let the breeze do the rest :)

Na the solar panels are on top ,try again

Fly low and wipe it on the tree tops. ;)

OK I know the answer (to this upcoming question but...) ... 5 day flight on a solar plane...... how does it fly at night?

the sun charges the batteries during the day silly billy ,except of course when theres a solar eclipse ,or if a flying saucer is hovering over it .

but then again where does he plug the battery charger in when its cloudy :bat:

5 day ....doesn't fly at night ... simples ...
:p
Solar Impulse 2 has a bigger wingspan than a jumbo jet, but it's light (roughly the weight of a car) and powered solely by 17,000 solar cells.
"During the day, the solar cells recharge lithium batteries weighing 633 Kg (2,077 lbs) which allow the aircraft to fly at night and therefore to have virtually unlimited autonomy,"

But I couldn't find the answers to Jeff's @the black fox query :D

Do they still exist? IIRC they used to be a group of jugglers/circus performers!

Apparently, when asked what he was most looking forward to, the pilot said "A shhhhhhh...ower!"
