Yes
I have a D70 and really enjoy doing close-ups, how ever I find it hard to determine the good shots from the bad on the small screen. Is there anyway I can connect to my laptop so that the images come straight up on the laptop as I take them ?

Thanks in advance

Paul

PS

I am more useless with computers than I am cameras

Yes there are software that allow you to do that. There is DSLR Remote Pro, which I heard was very good and if you had a Canon then there is a piece of software which comes with it, that is able to do this. You can even control the settings via the computer. But of course the disadvantage is that the camera has to be plugged in VIA the USB cable :)

all the best

You can. Although not sure how Nikon users do it. I know that Canon has a utility free with their dSLRs but you might need to acquire something for the D70.

Ooh glad I stumbled across this... was thinking about this just the other day! Thanks guys! :D

You can get some free software to do it from DIYPhotobits called Camera Control and can be found here.

I have downloaded it in the past and used it with the D200 (I think) and it did exactly what is was meant to do. I'm not in a situation where I need it though. I just tried it to see if it worked. And it did. :D

Not on all Canons, wifi grips are cool ;)
Does Nikon not do those?

Can't find a link to Canon's EOS Utility on their website but you can get it fron CNET here. Haven't tried downloading it myself as I have it on disc.

Hope this helps.
