How do I open Outlook PST (created in Windows) in Entourage / Mac?

Hi,

I migrated to Mac just over a year ago, and recently I've had the need to access my PST file which was created in Outlook for Windows.

I am currently running Office for Mac 2008, yet have not found anyway to open this file in Entourage!

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Thanks, I've had a look there.

As it so happens, Microsoft have devised a tool to allow Entourage to import PST files, but this will only work for PST files created on Outlook for Mac, it will not work with PST files created on Outlook for Windows!

For whatever reason that is, I would have thought this to be a standard tool within Entourage, more so as it is from the same company (Microsoft)!
 
Do you have access to a windows pc with outlook? If so:
- Get yourself a Google mail account and set up outlook to access it via IMAP.
- Open the PST in outlook.
- Drag all the e-mail accross to the GMail folders (& wait for it to finish copying).

Once that's done, you can look at moving it to wherever you want, or just using your GMail space to keep it hosted online.

Thank you for making it look so easy. I will go to the university to see if the machines there, which are all Windows, have Outlook. If so, I guess this will sort things out for me.
