I have some images and I want to add a 6px stroke to them
and then put them together as a montage, I guess I have to keep to odd number (but tell me if I am wrong) so I have I have one landscape and two portrait, but unsure, do I have to keep all the images a certain size to start with and the canvas I put them on, does that have to be a certain size
I have been looking on youtube, but I keep finding ones that you use templates and move the images into them I am not looking for this.

Thankyou for any advice

what software do you have and how many images do you want in the montage?

Do you just want to put 9 images on a background or do you want them all to blend/merge together?

If you want to print one sheet with your 9 images placed on the page, start with a blank white canvas the size/res you want to print (eg 12x18). Then open and copy and paste each of your images onto that blank canvas and resize and reposition them. They will each be on their own layer. Then you can us the FX to add a stroke to each, drop shadow etc. Save the layered file as a .psd. When finished, save a copy as a flattened .jpg file to send to the printers.

I wanted the 9 images next each other some landscape some portrait with the stroke border in between each one so it made a made a rectangle with just the photos and the stroke showing no empty canvas and keep the image as they are so I don't lose any of the image or have to stretch the image out of shape to fit, hope I have explained this correct.

I did a tutorial yesterday for six passport photos on a 6"x4" print,

It's not exactly what you want but the basics are there, you just need to change the sizes and play about with the position of the images to suit you.
