How do I get rid of these dust ??? They are HUGE !

I have lots of dust on the sensor (had the camera under a year so still under warranty. I tried using the rocket blower to remove it but all it is doing is adding more dust to the sensor.............

So how do I get rid of it??

Do I DIY (how?)

or sent it to Canon and where and anyone know the return time since I have a wedding to shoot on the 1st of September.

Wow. They are quite big. If the rocket blower won't fix it your only answer might be a wet clean. There is a really good tutorial somewhere on here.. i'm sure someone will pop along with the link.
 
Raymond, Mount camera face down a tripod in the bathroom, then blow out insides first before even attempting to clean sensor. The ambient dampness of a bathroom hold the dust and it drops out of camera insides better before opening shutter curtain and that same dust just landing on a sensor you are trying to clean. And dont worry, take your time, sensor cleaning is fairly straightforward, just be gentle and dont have pad too wet....and dont ask Janice about being gentle :D

The starter kit has everything you will need to remove those spots Raymond.:thumbs:
 
I've still never cleaned the sensors on either of my cameras. I don't mind spotting out the odd dust bogeys, it's a cinch compared to dealing with spots on prints in the film days.

My sensors do need cleaning, but the thing I notice as I spot out the bogeys is that they're rarely in the same place twice, which means they're dry and mobile, and for that reason I don't like the idea of wetting them which runs the risk of turning dry dust into problematic sludge, so I'll shortly be getting an Arctic Butterfly which seems to me to be the elegant solution to sensor cleaning.

I got a starter kit off a UK photographic supplies shop on ebay that had everything, pads, the wand things, the fluid [yes, the one everyone uses that I cant remember the name of] for under £20 with p&p, and its done a superb job on both cameras.
 
Eclipse fluid and Pec pads.
 
Being a total coward I would return the camera to canon as you're entitled to a free clean whilst under warranty, give them a ring first and they should be able to give you an idea of how long it will take, or you could use one of their other approved service centres if you've got one near you. canon and click on repair and service link for service centres.

I hope you mean Sensor Swabs as I find the Pec Pads are a little bit more 'scratchy' for want of a better word. ;)

For me it's the Visible Dust Arctic Butterfly on the sensor for general maintenance and wet cleaning only for those stubborn spots. :)

hehe. Well done. :D I remember my shock when I discovered the dust bunnies. I didn't manage to get mine as clean as yours, but it was better!
