How did i do......?

i took this a couple of days ago and have just been playing with it, what do you think? did i do ok?

its nice, i like the detail but the background is a little distracting, i think if u crop it a little tighter it will be awesome

I agree the background is distracting, also I find the green rather too vibrant and seems to overpower everything.

I don't know if you can do this with the software you have, but try dropping the green luminance to darken it. This stops the distraction and makes the bud stand out more. Easy to do in either Photoshop or Lightroom but may be a bit more tricky in other applications.

Luminense certanly needs to come down a tad - its almost fluorescent in places. Very nice detail in the hairs and the flower petals though.

nice shot, does need toning down a bit i think, bit too bright for me, i think it would look slightly better if all the pink petal was in focus, my eye is drawn to the pink and i notice that the tip is out of focus.

Nice image but it is a little busy in the background. I had a go at an edit hope you don't mind. Adjusted levels and curves, sharpened and cropped. Oh and added a border just something I like to do to finish off an image. Feel free to say if it's not to your liking

thanks its very pretty. we have had horrid weather this last week so i took this when the wind had fallen , the rain had stopped and there was some decent sunlight! i took loads of the same bud, and this was the best.
