Dan, There's a few filters available for dealing with light pollution. The Astronomik CLS filter works superbly, and even after 20 minutes I had no light pollution showing, the downside is you need a better focal ratio than f7.5 (my imaging scope) or it takes too long for the data captures (one stop at daylight exposures is easy... one stop when you're aiming for 5 or 6 minutes anyway....). The Skywatcher LPR which I use is not as effective as the CLS but it works to. There's another one I've heard is very good, the Huetech IDAS2 filter. There are others on the market, and I'm sure they will work well.
