. . . the phrase "shutterbug" ever been used not once in this fine web site.

I think it's a lovely cute little phrase and I often find myself saying that when I describe myself to others when I'm out and about with the camera. It must have the effect of easing tension in these worrying times when I say "Oh, don't mind me, I'm a bit of a shutterbug".
I also hardly ever see the phrase "itchy shutter finger" used in here.

It is because it's annoying, or it's something that's so quaint and old fashioned that no-one's ever heard of it before? Do any of you have a catchy little expression you like to come up with when it comes to taking photos in public places or at meet ups?

Must admit it's the first I have heard of it, but I do like it:thumbs:

never heard of it to be honest, but i do quite like it

Sounds too much like "clutterbug" for its use not to bring up painful memories of parental accusations directed at me vis-a-vis my hoarding.

I thought it was a dance......:D:

I thought this was going to be another bird is the word thread!! :D
