How can you retrieve exif data from a photo?

i often hear people saying that they are getting the exif data from a picture, but how do you do it.

Install the Opanda Exif plug in for IE or Firefox. Free download

Save the file to your pc, right click on the file and choose properties/summary/advanced.

Best using the opanda... then you dont have to save a copy of everyone elses shots to your pc!

But if they have saved their jgp in photoshop using the "save for web" option there will be no exif to see.

Yes, I must add I thought you were refering to your own shots saved from your camera memory card.

You will need software to read exif from a piccy on the web.

Or do what admirable says. Most decent image viewers can display exif data.
