Yes
I picked up a Sigma 70-210 f4-5.6 from a sunday market today.
The guy thought it was a Nikon fit but, it although it looks as though it should fit my Nikon, it doesn't.
It didn't cost me much and is in new condition so I wasn't too concerned but now I want to sell it on but have no idea what fit it is.
Is there some way to tell :help:

oooo good question. Not seen anything mentioned on here (that springs to mind). I would have thought there might be some kind of comparison diagram thing out there on t'internet though. Will post again if I see anything :)

Thanks for the links but can't seem to find anything that matches the Sigma fitting exactly.

Here are some shots of the fitting.

Might be a Pentax K mount.

i thought it looked like my canon?

I'll go with Pentax K based on my old Ricoh lens I just looked at.

If I was a betting man (which I'm not) I'd put my money on it being Pentax.

I would also bet that it's a Pentax. This site can help you identify which of the many weird and wonderful flavours of K-mount it is.
