I work with Photoshop Elements 13, which opens my RAW images in ACR.
I've recently upgraded my original Canon 24-105 lens to the new version (EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM) and, since reading an article where lens profiles featured in the process of adjusting lens distortions, I got curious about this facility (nothing to do with the new lens, by the way - that's performing beautifully!).
Firstly I guess I need to know which version of ACR I have. I've looked in the list of installed programs on my hard drive (Windows 8.1>Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features) but, although both Elements 13 and Premiere 13 are in there, there's no sign of ACR.
Once I've found it, I'll need to establish whether it contains any lens profiles - indeed, where do I look for those in ACR? - although I'm really not sure what the advantage of them might be (I seem to have managed for years without them). I may then need to update my version of ACR and, possibly, find out where to go to upload any new lens profiles.
Any help or advice on this subject would be very much appreciated.
