If one is invited to the house of Lords as a Photographer, could one expect then to be allowed to take photographs INSIDE the house or would one get ones ass kicked out?

I was invited by someone Visiting the house
 
One should check as to whom one was invited by :D and if one was to have one's ass kicked out? then one should kick the ass of the invitor for not making it clear to one in the first place :D

I would say check with there press office...

When I was a little nipper my family and I were taken on a guided tour of the Commons and the House of Loards by MP Barry Sheerman and I don't think my dad was allowed to take any photos of either. Rules might have changed though now tbf.

I have been invited by a person going there with a report to meet with an MP (I believe) he is a very high ranking person in the medical field so I trust it is all above board.

I was just hoping to be able to slip around and grab a few shots of the lords snoring in the house
 
I've been to both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. It was a while ago and I didn't take a camera, but I don't think you'll be able to take any in the House of Lords.
 
This almost will not help. It's a government instillation and as such is own by the people, every other government instillation I've photographed have with out exception allowed my and my camera to do my job as photographing. Having said all that Wesmister palace has almost given itself Vatican status in what you as a voting and tax paying member of the people can and can not do there.

Searches, similar to those used in airports, will be conducted on entry.

Mobile phones must be turned off.

Cameras cannot be used, except in Westminster Hall.

Personal defence equipment is not permitted. UK law prohibits the carrying of certain self-defence items lawful in other countries. Persons in possession of such items, eg, flick knives, butterfly knives, and personal defence sprays, are liable to arrest and confiscation of these items. You are advised not to bring bladed items of any kind into Parliament.

Bags or luggage larger than those permitted in aircraft cabins may be refused entry. Parliament has no facilities for leaving items; commercial outlets are available nearby at Victoria and Charing Cross stations.
