Is anyone else getting phishing spam telling you that Hotmail E Mail is going to be closed down and a new one opened on the 4th of February. I have been getting these since November last year at first just warning me it is going to take place in the new year. Then I had two saying the process is beginning (That was last week) and one today telling me it will take place on the 4th Feb 2021.
It is not even a realistic E mail address it is coming from The latest one from someone calling themselves Dav*********@hotmail.cz..........Czech Republic indeed ????? Of course there is the usual link to click on to be transferred to the new version - yes I came down in the last shower of rain!!!!

Consigned into the dustbin of gloom.

no but i get lots of others and they are getting more and more clever. Ones claiming to be DPD, Royal Mail and Government etc etc.....

DPD Royal mail or even the Govt are relatively easy to contact to check, but Microsoft is in their ivory tower and virtually impossible to speak to.

Im talking more about the lure to impulse click on the links they provide without raising enough suspicion to think about contacting people to check in the first place.

just assume they are all crapploa

Not exactly like that but a bit similar. It said they(allegedly 'they' were Microsoft) had noticed I hadn't used my outlook email for some time and it would be closed but if I wanted to keep it I should click a link, which was surprising because I use my outlook email everyday.

So long as we keep them thinking we are not as smart as them then act accordingly when their rubbish comes onto the screen they will not try harder.

So, are you telling me- this Nigerian Prince who contacted me about the $43,000,000 I'm owed is a scam????

Yes I had one this morning - from a hotmail address. Also got 5 phone calls this morning saying my "ISP is switching broadband off for missuse" - getting fed up of scams.
