Hosting PDFs to download

I want to create downloadable content (PDFs of catalogues, features etc) that I can share on both Facebook/Twitter and as a link on my company's website.

What are the best ways to host the files?

I want it ideally to be a link that can open on screen (if possible) or just downloads when the link is pressed - is this possible?

Just ftp it to your site (if you have one) and the link will then be

http://yourwebsitename.co.uk/filename.pdf

AS the clown said, just upload it and then link to it, it will depend on the client how it is handled.
