Hospital baby photos

Why are you saying that they are within their rights to take the photo? They clearly aren't as permission was refused.

If I walk up to you in a public place and you don't give me permission to take your photo, I can still take it. The same within my own home. As said above unless you repeatedly tell me not to and I repeatedly take your photo which is harassment then I can take your photo. The photo was taken either on public or private property, i'm not sure which the NHS hospital ward falls but either way the person taking the photo had the right to do so.

It comes down to rights vs responsibility. If the person who asked and was told no then deliberately came back and snuck in to take the photo when they were asleep, then that is very unprofessional. But we don't know thats what happened, as someone stated above, it could easily have been a different photographer on a different day that as they walked past that time everyone was asleep so they took one in case the patient wanted it at a later date, only to find out when they got back that said patient had already refused it.

Should they have then deleted it? yup probably

Does it make any difference to anybody's life that they didn't? Nope

This.

I've RTM'd the thread this morning as it seems to have moved from offering advice to making character assignations of the OP and debating them as a parent which is, IMO, unacceptable.

Sadly, it seems to the be usual suspect stirring the hornet's nest again! :shake:

Countdown till the thread gets locked then I guess.
