Hello to you all.
Im heading out to the East coast Nr Bridlington & Hornsey
Are there any good places along the coast to get some good landscape shots or places to visit. I have 3 days
Im looking at Filey down to Spurn Head I havent a clue whats on this coast line apart from the old WW2 pilboxes etc.... so as much info or ideas as possible PLEASE
Its 20+ yr since I have been here so the coast will have changed. a bit :naughty:
Thankyou

Hornsea has some nice sandy stretches and further down the coast to Withernsea you can get some great shots of the cliffs and the way they are falling into the sea. I took some great shots there the other week. Just don't stand too close to the top of the cliff edge as it may fall onto the beach below. Go to Flamborough Head too if you get chance. North landing life boat hut and the south landing LB station worth a photo or two.

You could also try Hornsea Mere for wildfowl.

Try Flamborough head.

The Headland itself may not be too inspiring but North Landing and South landing are very picturesque spots. provided ,as usual, the suns out.

The front at Bridlington can be good for some shots, but at this time of year you may struggle ( against the wind possibly). Don't forget you might get some great sunrises on the East Coast

Jps & Chappers thankyou for the info, I have just been checking out the info on the internet looking good so far
Flamborough
Withernsea
Spurn Head
Goathland for the wife & Sis in law
maybe
Bridlington and a quick trip to Barmston (holidays when I was but a mere 11yr old)

Barmston will be about 5 miles back since you weree last there, could be off the map soon i think.

Here's a picture I took the other weekend, about 2 miles south of Withernsea (you can just see the town in the distance). It wasn't many years ago that this road went out about another 20 metres or so and then turned to the right and carried onto a farmstead ...........

Yes I can believe that.
Last time I was there wow back in the early 80s
There was a slipway to the sea at the side of the shop with pilboxes just at the bottom of the cliffs. A caravan site with a clubhouse was a good few (maybe 100m) from the cliff top.
An eldery Aunt remembers when the WW2 Pill boxes and tank stops (big solid concrete boxes) sunk into the ground were inland of the beachs and cliff tops
