If you are lucky I might either use your a name for a character , or create a character inspired by you

Ruth has inspired a protagonist in books 11, 12, and 13 - although I changed her name in the interests on not get sued by her employers. (also I killed her alter ego off at the end of #13  )

there is a female wildlife photographer character in 'wild justice' but she gets brutally murdered in the first three pages  so you might prefer a larger role ?

I still need to name the femme fatale character in 'man eater' too , though you have to promise not to sue for defamation if you want that character named after you ;)

(Incidentally i'm not a massively published author or anything ... i'm currently writing the series , but i'm writing a whole bunch of books concurrently and putting bits and pieces into whichever seems right... if I do ever get a book deal i'll have a whole series to 'sell' although I suspect i'll wind up self publishing on kindle)

You killed me off?

Charmless nerk :bat:

Hmmm you seem to like killing women........ should i be concerned?

not really - my guy, Hawke, is a cop - he doesn't kill the women, he investigates their deaths and generally lights up the people who did.

The death of as yet unnamed in Wild Justice is pivotal to the plot ... in essence it turns out that of the large string of murders they are investigating only 2 were innocents... the other 4 were part of the gang of criminals who kill "as yet unnamed" at the beginning and are themselves hunted down and killed by a guy who had a relationship with her but only in his head.

(the title comes from the Francis Bacon quote that " revenge is a kind of wild justice" )

I hope you gave her skills :D

oh yes ... she starts off as a 'person of interest' that Hawke and co are pursuing for theft from her employer, however it turns out that they've been misled and she's actually running away because she's found out that her boss is importing nerve gas pivotal to planned terrorist attack in central London.

The bad guys are using the police as a stalking horse to track her down , but this turns out not to be a good idea as Hawke is with her when they close in - cue huge gun fight and car chases etc as he deals ruthlessly with their pursuers.

Having rescued her Hawke falls for her , and they wind up in bed, and then she finally tells him the truth about what she's discovered... Cue tense race against time to stop the attack - more crazy driving , and a final huge action sequence .

(that's book 10 - working title " loose cannon" )

Well as I said if you prefer you can be a femme fatale type perpetrator who is first seducing then killing men. The detail on this one is a bit sketchy , but I'm toying with it turning out that she's not really a serial killer but instead a damaged victim who is taking out those who hurt her,,, and a few innocents who get in the way.

I need to work on some twists though because when I first drafted the plot I realised I'd basically written an episode of criminal minds (the one with that French dude who winds up marrying JJ)

That ought to be worth a mug of tea, a sandwich and a box of Jaffa cakes ;)
