I'm off to Hong Kong next week for work and reckon that I will have enough room in my luggage to fit in the camera gear. Anyone got any suggestions of places to visit and locations for shots that I can try and fit into my schedule.

Cheers for the link through to the other thread. Now really looking forward to the trip, fingers crossed the weather will be ok.........
 
You've missed the good weather for this year, might be difficult to get a decent cityscape picture. You might be best off planning for street photography.
 
Get up into the New Territories. Have a walk down the Water Catchment area in Sek Kong village (bus number 52 from Tsuan Wan to Sek Kong over route Twisk). There used to be loads of wildlife down there.
 
There are loads of country parks with reservoirs, night markets and islands that were (haven't been in years) cheap as anything to get to if you want something different to the standard harbour and peak shots although those sites are stunning.

There are loads of temples where you would least expect them, Hollywood road on the island was definately worth a trip :)

thanks for the updates, only a couple of days now until I fly out. Pretty sure work will get in the way of getting out and taking in loads of locations but will give it a good go!
 
Second the night markets, colourfull and bustling with life.
 
Lamma island is also nice, a brings you away from the hustle and bustle of the City, Ap Lei Chau marina looking over to Aberdeen can also be quite nice. Stanley Market is also good, you get the market and also right next to the sea with some nice sights etc :)
