Dont know why i am posting this, i just feel the need to. Over the past few months i have been busy in the classifieds section mainly "for sale", everything has gone smoothly apart from one deal in which i totally messed up on the postage of the item, i have been in touch with the said person and i hold my hands up it was my fault. He received the item later than what i said, i posted it on the 31st december and he did not receive it while a week later, while another item i posted the same day another member received it after 2 days?, i think i am partly to blame but also some of the blame has to be with royal mail. Now the unfortunate thing is i received a pm calling me a "*****ng conman" may i add NOT OFF THE CONCERNED PARTY, which was hurtful, but heyho thats life, anyway i just had to get it off my chest, and it was not intentional to upset or make anyone feel "ripped off".

I have had a crap couple of months and some things have just not gone to plan. I love this site and lately some of the funnier side of things have put a long lost smile on my face. i suppose this is a public apology to those concerned and i hope to be around for a long while. If you read this please dont feel down (yeh right, lol) its just that its nice to talk and get things out in the open, take care all. Graham
 
Don't lose any sleep over it Graham. You've done and said all you can mate. Its easy for people to insult over the net. Not so easy in person.
Stand up, brush yourself down and get on with it mate. No point in worrying about it.
You've already publicly admitted some of the cause was your doing. Learn from it, try not to let others down again and come out of the naughty corner.. ;)

I'd agree with Kev, if everything has been sent, the buyers have received said items and are satisfied then put it down to experience. Obviously site staff are usually made aware of any 'issues' and we will do what we can to resolve matters but experience shows that is nearly always down to communication (or lack thereof).

As aside, did you report the 'conman' PM?
 
the "conman" pm was actually off a so called friend/aquantance off here, which makes it even more hurtful, i dont really want to report them because i hope they can see the mistake that i/and they made.
 
I bought Grahams 30D a few weeks back, prompt delivery and camera and lenses were A+++. Absolutely no complaints, I am astonished that a member would have stooped to that level. As we all know, the post/courier service is completely out of our hands once posted, so what of a alightly longer delivery? The weather hasn't exactly been great has it, we've had loads of stuff late, but its not fair complaining about it. You're a Top guy Graham, as has been said, don't let it get to you. :thumbs:

For others reading, I was the puirchaser in the matter Nikonkid refers to.
I have received your PM and am content to post on this thread as you request. Yes, I did recieve the goods exactly as described - a week later, and (just for clarity) posted uninsured, unsigned for and minimally packed - not RMSD as we had previoiusly agreed and I had payed for. I appreciate your gesture of now offering to refund the difference in price, and your belated apology and await the refund. For the record, I am pleased with the goods. I was not so pleased to wait in all day on the delivery date as expected, or the wondering what had happened for the following days when my PM's were not responded to.
There may well had been proper reasons why things were not as agreed, but these were never explained to me. In fairness, I did not need detail, but just a factual understanding as to why the delivery was not as expected or agreed prior to payment.
It is unfortunate if you have received an abusive PM -I do not condone such an act, but it is easy to see why somebody would make the comment (without the expletive) in the absence of any explaination. A fair amount of money was involved, and a number of enquiring PM's not responded to when you had been online.
From my point of view, I will consider the matter closed once the agreed postage difference is paid, and continue to enjoy what I must say I find to be an excellent forum.
