home server 2011

ok think i found it where the hard drive's are on the server there is a tab that lists all hte folder's but it says i do not have permission yet all the user's including guest for time being are set to read ad write

no idea what to do mmmmm?????
 
I too have Home Server and I have been battling to do the same thing....if I get anywhere will let you know.

I am also trying to set it up so that a outside user can access it, so we can both work from the same folder.
 
and when you say "different" pc do you mean one that is on the network in the same house or a remote one?

yes i did say on same network lol thouhgt i was going mad

i have figured my problem out i turned the password protect on the file's off so anyon can see them now when i go to my compute on another pc i click the server in the top box once and it opens a folder with all the files in then copy and upload from where it is to the server just like moving a normal file

as for the remote desktop im just going to use log me in free and easy to use
