I use a Withings Connect. It wirelessly send the readings to the Withings Health Mate app, which then syncs with the Apple Health app.
Same with my Withings scales.

…..the first reading tends to be high.

It is known that the first reading tends to be higher for a number of reasons with most of them being around the NIBP machine and cuff settling down after first placement, but other reasons include the same causes as “white coat syndrome“. People generally relax a bit after the first reading is taken.

For the reasons above the first reading is generally ignored.

Interesting you say you use an IBP app. Have you missed a leading “N” as IBP and NIBP use very different methods and will produce different result, with IBP being more accurate. IBP is not something you would do at home and it only used in a small number of areas in a hospital environment.

Seem to remember it was originally branded as Withings when I bought it 10 years ago. It certainly can link directly to Withings‘ BP & Weight devices as well as Withings & Apples Health apps and with your Withings account if you have one. It doesn’t link wirelessly to any Omron devices as far as I know. They (I should say he, as I think it’s a one man company!) still seem to have some tie up with Withings.

Omron now have a number of Bluetooth connected devices in their portfolio that connect to their own app.
