Home bars!

Who has one? How extensive?

I've been amassing stuff over the past two years including a £300 shopping spree which bolstered the bar significantly but it's still looking pretty modest.

How do you organise it to keep it looking the best? Mine's looking...shabby.

I don't have a home bar (far too risky) but I do have a very similar scene - albeit empty - ready for the bottle bank.

It's an odd selection you have there though.

Not my kinda thing, usually have a couple of bottles in the cupboard, but generally speaking...I don't usually drink often and begrudge people coming over and drinking all my drink just cause it's there (yep, happened many times before and angers me so much, I mean like literally they jut go and help themselves)

It's an odd selection you have there though.

It's the result of years of drinking cocktails and then deciding what ingredients made up the majority of my preferred drinks. What that photo doesn't show is that the rums and Remy Martin are almost empty - ten too many mojitos and one too many Sidecars!

Then the odd ones like Absinthe and Licor 43 are very specific tastes - the latter being combined with Cointreau in a shot format (which is set alight) to taste remarkably like a Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Indeed. I had that issue once but the great fortune is that I have a door which slides across the front of that display and, save for that one occasion, I have been able to hand out only as I wish!

looks like you have some awesome bottles there, i worked running a cocktail bar for a year and every wednesday got an hour teaching the other bar staff! not many of them went home sober that night....we were always making up random shots etc etc
