Holidays - Where are you taking your gear this year?

OK, I just booked my holidays, although I admit,we have booked for next year and I am just a bit excited about it, so thought this a good point to ask who is going where, is the gear going with you and what do you hope to come back with [keep it clean :naughty: ]

So, In february, and timed to coincide with my big birthday [40th] I am off to the Caribbean on a cruise for a week, taking in Barbados, Antigua, St Barts, etc. Hoping to get some wildlife stuff [whilst ashore] and lots of scenery, local colour and that kind of thing. We figured we would go to completely the opposite of last years Norway trip, somewhere hot :lol: I dont actually 'do' hot climes very well, but I figured that with an air conditioned ship to retire to when it gets too much, I should be ok for a week and it will be worth it for some new photographic ops! :D

So, what you planning? and YES, I am very nosy :naughty:
 
We're doing Spain and Ireland :)
 
The USA for 5 weeks (Mid West) taking in Drag racing, Nascar & IRL mainly.
 
Off to Florida to see a rodent.

I'm there at the minute and am soooooo missing not having my proper kit with me - I only brought a point n shoot out with me as had so much to stuff to bring that it wasn't really practical to bring my camera gear with me too (am here doing exams, not a real holiday). I'll be coming back to Vancouver in June for a week (if I pass), fully armed with my kit this time, then hopefully later in the year will be returning once more..... on a one way ticket :woot:
 
Cornwall for my mob - Assuming the caravan makes it that far !!!
Having said that, the Mrs mentioned last night that she would also like to go abroad as well ! - Dunno about that though, might have to pawn the kit to pay for it.

We did a 2 week Tour of Thailand in January, went to Gambia in April for two weeks, and we are going to Santorini in September, for 1 week,
 
Once again, I am going to show you how sad I am...
We live 25k from the beach in southern Spain.
For our holidays, we are coming to London to have operations.
I'll pack my wellies, coat and thermals then.
 
end June to Mallorca as usual. haven't thought about our big hols this year as yet. cripes, is it May already :eek:
 
At home for me! Moved house 10 months ago and all time energy and money seems to be soaked up with the new house! :shrug:

Good job I love gardening and decorating :D
 
I'm staying at home this summer too, but have been lucky enough have visited Rome and Florence last month.

In the process of being made redundant by the end of the year and seem to be spending most of my time spinning the globe to see where to take a long break in next years summer. New Zealand looks favourite at the moment and I can't wait to return there with a DSLR rather than a point and shoot five years ago.

:lol: I think thats the kind of thread hijack we can cope with - and for the record, we may, finances allowing, also do Cyprus this year, but it will be a last minute thing in the October half term - that was our orignal holiday plan until we discovered a cruise company I have used before is now part of the tesco clubcard deals and we got a substantial amount of the caribbean trip paid for with vouchers :D
 
Scotland! Glencoe in about 4 weeks.

I would love to try and claim some green credential with me not clocking up the air miles and huge quantities of C02... but I just can't afford a swanky foreign holiday!
 
Edale for 5 days....it's not exotic but it'll do ;)

Just finishing uni so can't really afford anywhere...and got a couple of full time jobs lined up so I'll enjoy the money in other ways :D
 
Zakynthos in June, get some nice plane close ups as they cross the road to the airport.:):)
 
Portugal (to meet up with my folks) in July.

Going to try for a 10-day trip with the missus to Cuba in September and then in late December/early January, will be snowboarding in either Canada or japan depending on funds.... can't wait!!! :)
 
Paris.

I want to go to Iceland too, but that has to wait as It tis too expensive for me at the moment.
 
Just visited Switzerland...

Having a few breaks around the UK - Llyn Peninsula, Lake District, North Yorkshire & Lizard Point ..... don't forget guys that this country has some of the finest scenery in the world :thumbs:

Im going to Towcester a couple more times this year... :)

Planning on taking a month or 2 of work later in the year and touring the UK with me camera... might leave it til early next year instead, depending on when i buy a new car, my current Swift isnt the best for motorway munching.
