So then, what have you got planned. I'll be lugging the camera up to Valencia and Madrid at some point, and I'd like to get back down to Sevilla, but other than that nothing exciting lined up.

Have you got any exciting trip planned for the coming year?

Got a trip to Ireland next week to see family for crimbo just bought a house down south so can't afford a big holiday but will be spending a few days in Scotland fishing before we move.

Germany, the Mosel Valley in March. Will be taking lots of snaps and hopefully one or two good ones.

Nine nights on the Costa Del Sol this year.....sun, sea, sand and a few days car hire so I can go off exploring with my camera!! :)

Got an a rather elderly pooch here and I refuse to put her in kennels anymore (plus she doesn't travel well), so I'll be happy to send "him indoors" off on holiday with his brother and mates whilst I take the same time off work and just chill by myself. Works for me :)

Spain for a week in feb here on the cheap as folks have a villa over there for a month, Malta in November as my better half has a time share and will try somewhere in the middle.

going down to cornwall again back to the famr holdiay i went last year, awesome place

Barcelona in March, Cyprus June and a 3 day city break sometime in October.

weve got a hol to Skiathos in May, not sure where else we will be going over seas, maybe China,Botswana to see my cousin and Oz to my other cousin, but for sure a few weekends in this country Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, and Yorkshire, were hoping to get a new motorhome, if we can trade in our old Ford tranny Motorhome in

Going to mix it up with a single 45mm TS/E lens.

Going Cambodia for Christmas :) Next year, in this order :

Laos for some exploring

Would like to try and get to Mongolia too if I can fit the leave in....

Bangkok in February, possibly back to Canada in September.

Off to Seattle around June/July, drive out to the Cascade Mountains, go around Puget Sound and maybe drop down to Portland or the Oregon coast. Then a 12 day, all expenses work trip to Adelaide, from 2nd Jan 2014; off to visit wineries we represent in the Barossa & Eden Valleys.

We've got a weeks winter sun in Tunisia end of February then Mexico and Chichen Itza in October, that's assuming the Mayans got it wrong !

My back garden if I cut the grass!!

Sounds about right, pretty much the same here for now...next year? Well, that is a different story...

Scotland in May because it revives my soul and is a photographer's wonderland.

All the faffing about at airports being treated like cattle and morons in the plane seat behind me put me off holidays abroad.

Considered a cruise but after seeing the latest sickness bug reports kicked that into the long grass.

That's why I can think of nothing better than driving to the continent, via the midnight Dover to Dunkirk ferry, take as much as you want, sleep when you want (Tienen services, Belgium) and thoroughly enjoy all the countries you pass through. The travel, for me, is part of the adventure. I want to drive to Bucharest later this year, if funds allow.

I am off to SIN next week and catch my flight back from BKK in March. Will go to Lao, Cambodia, Vietnam too. Back to Canada in Sept. I hope to travel from ACC to CAI via Nigeria, Niger and Libya leaving in Nov.

Pics will be posted.

Back to South Africa in a month or two, for good, not on holiday.

Yes travel to Spain by car has been in our thoughts, explore on the way and such. Will delve further into that maybe.

One thing I always wanted to do, high speed train from London to south of France......one day soon.

It's well worth it. In my opinion its part of the holiday. Driving through sleepy French villages, over the mountains etc. Wonderful.
For me, going to Germany quite often, I drive down through France and Belgium, through the Ardenne forest, past Spa Francochamps, and over the border onto unrestricted autobahn. Lovely. Came back last time through Luxembourg, the time before I went through Switzerland first. You're so free when you're driving. The only thing you're controlled by is what time you booked the ferry for.
I cocked it up last time I went to the Black Forest. I'd booked the ferry for 2pm, and didn't leave the hotel until 10am. The autobahns got used properly! And who would guess that a diesel Mondeo could get past 140mph? Lol. And I still missed the ferry!!!

Iceland in Feb half term with me and the Mr, taking camera with me :)
Portugal May/Jume half term with some of the grandchildren - Tunisia Oct half term just me and my Mr.

Am saving up for a new kitchen so no big holiday for me and the missus for the next year or so
Am going on two trips to Skokholm (Wales) for the Puffins tho so dont mind:)
going to try more video this time with the 7D:)
went last year wonderful place:clap:

What's the downside?

It's a lovely island. There's some genuinely wonderful villages up in the mountains and some of the larger costal resorts (Cala Bona/Millor etc) are great for beach holidays. Capdepera Castle is worth a visit if you're up that way, as is Palma Cathedral.....

And then there's Magaluf. Which is hell, and best avoided at all times and all costs.
