Going on holiday next week, me the missus and our 1.5 year old, and our friends with their 1.5 year old.

What should we not miss out on? I hope the nice weather continues so we can do the beach, we like to MTB so us dad's will be going to Dalbeattie.

Any pointers? :)

We were hoping to defo do Dalbeattie and hopefully Mabie too. Might try Kirroughtree if thats a recommendation...

Kirroughtree over Mabie definitely, I've not done Dalbeattie. Kirroughtree often seems to be overlooked, but it really is spectacularly good. The singletrack is amazing and just goes on and on... The blue is amazingly good too, especially if you have any beginners with you. It basically takes in the easier bits of the red and links them with easy singletrack. Hell, it's all good!

Weathers great here today and looks set to stay for a while, check out Raiders Road on bike approx 10 mile of ace forest road with Otters 1/2 way along. Also Red Deer range is ok. Don't waste your time going to Wigtown for Ospreys as their not there and all you do is watch on video.
Cheers and have a nice trip
