Hi

We are planning on going to Algarve in August and want to know who you have book private transfers with from Faro airport to the hotel?

I have had a look on trip advisor who have suggested yellowfish transfers but cannot get their website to work correctly.

Please can you let me know who you have used to book the transfer and how did it all go?

Thank you

Kev

Yes. But it was several years ago and I can't remember who it was. I imagine they're much and much the same, they're generally just little 6'x6' stalls in the arrivals area who ferry people off to their minibuses.

I think we booked the holiday through sunshine.co.uk and it was a bolt on option for transfers.

Sorry that's probably not much help.

Craig

Thanks. Have you used these?

Whereabouts in the Algarve are you going? Last year I got my hotel to book the transfer (one way for just me) from Faro to the Vale do Lobo. The man was waiting for me in arrivals and I got a Merc to myself for £20. Is your hotel able to recommend anyone?

As an aside, I was at Faro airport last week - they seem to have fiddled with the traffic system outside and although it's only a short walk to the new car drop off and collection points, the car parks seemed further. It was bloomin' hot with all the luggage etc. so it might be worth double checking where they actually meet you.

Thanks. We will be going to Vilamora in August. The hotel transfer are about £70 return and the online ones I have seen are about £50.

Is car hire not an option?

We travel to the Algarve regularly and always hire a car.

February this year car hire cost me £46 for a car for one week. Fully comp insurance, unlimited mileage, waivers etc.

Once out of the immediate Faro area (into Quinta do Lago, Vale Do Lobo, Villa Moura etc) the roads are wide, well surfaced and very easy to drive.

Then again in Quinta Do Lago, it's far isolated than Vila Moura, so public transport would be a stupid option. How are you planning on getting around / outside of Vila Moura?

Just tried ResortHoppa, who I've successfully used before, and these are the results for Saturday transfers in August.....

I've always found local taxi's from the airport are cheaper than using middlemen, but make sure you agree the price before setting off as they can sometimes get a little "creative" with the fees!!

Thanks. Not too keen on car hire. Will look into the transfer options provided.
